On Tuesday, October 29, 2024, a series of planned training workshops organized by the University Office of Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation, in cooperation with the Faculty of Engineering – Gharyan, commenced at the Faculty of Engineering Auditorium.

The workshops aim to develop qualified personnel capable of meeting the various needs and requirements of quality assurance at both the institutional and programmatic levels. They also seek to identify areas of weakness and aspects requiring further development, evaluation, and focused efforts in order to address existing challenges and achieve the main objectives of the planned activities.

The first workshop was inaugurated in the presence of Prof. Dr. Saleh Qashout, President of the University; Dr. Tarik idbeaa, Director of the University Office of Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation; Dr. Mahmoud Ashour, Director of the International Cooperation Office; Dr. Adel Al-Malushi, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; Dr. Abdulhamid Al-Shaibani, Head of the Faculty Members’ Union; Dr. Nasser Abu Rawawi, Dean of the Faculty of Science; Dr. Saqr Sassi, Dean of the Faculty of Arts – Al-Qawasim; as well as representatives of the Quality Assurance Units from the University’s various faculties and members of the Faculty’s administrative and professional staff.

The University President welcomed the attendees and expressed his appreciation and commitment to organizing such activities, emphasizing their importance in supporting all components of the University. In his remarks, he also affirmed the University’s readiness to provide the necessary facilities and both material and non-material support to ensure the success of these initiatives.

Following the opening remarks, the Head of the Faculty’s Quality Assurance Department, Prof. Dr. Tawfiq Ajjal, delivered the first workshop entitled “Self-Assessment and Self-Study: Concepts and Implementation Mechanisms.”
