As part of the efforts to strengthen cooperation and knowledge exchange among the faculties of the University of Gharyan, and in support of the University’s commitment to promoting a culture of quality assurance and academic accreditation, the Faculty of Science – Gharyan continued its series of quality assurance workshops entitled “Applying for Institutional Accreditation.”

In this context, the Faculty hosted representatives from the Faculty of Education – Mizda, Faculty of Education – Kikla, Faculty of Education – Abu Zayan, and Faculty of Education – Al-Awainiya on Wednesday, October 4, 2023.

The workshop was prepared and delivered by Dr. Tarik Idbeaa, Quality Coordinator at the Faculty of Science. It addressed several topics related to quality assurance concepts, institutional accreditation requirements, application procedures, and mechanisms for preparing faculties to fulfill the required standards and criteria.

The workshop was attended by the Deans, Heads of Academic Departments, and Quality Coordinators of the participating faculties. The event provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and best practices and to discuss challenges associated with implementing quality assurance and accreditation requirements.

This workshop forms part of a broader series of training activities organized by the Faculty of Science in cooperation with the University’s faculties. These activities will continue to include all faculties that have not yet applied for institutional accreditation, supporting the University’s efforts to strengthen its quality assurance system and promote continuous institutional improvement.
