A meeting of the Quality Coordinators from the academic departments of the Faculty of Arts – Gharyan was held on Sunday, October 6, 2024, as part of the Faculty’s efforts to strengthen its quality assurance system and prepare for fulfilling the requirements for accreditation.

The meeting opened with a welcoming address by Ms. Izdehar Al-Qamati, Head of the Faculty Quality Assurance Department, who welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts among the academic departments to fulfill quality assurance requirements.

Following this, Dr. Saqr Sasi Saqr, Dean of the Faculty, delivered an address highlighting the Faculty’s commitment to providing and completing all quality assurance requirements and standards, with the aim of submitting its quality assurance and accreditation file no later than the following academic year, in accordance with a clear and well-defined plan.

The floor was then given to Dr. Tarik Idbeaa, Director of the University Office of Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation, who outlined the key initial processes and procedures that should be undertaken as the first stage toward the actual preparation and completion of the quality assurance file. He also emphasized the importance of establishing a clearly defined timeline to monitor the implementation stages and ensure that all required procedures and requirements are completed according to established priorities and schedules.

The meeting forms part of the Faculty of Arts – Gharyan’s ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional practices, promote a culture of quality assurance, and prepare its academic departments to fulfill accreditation requirements, thereby supporting continuous improvement and enhancing academic and administrative performance.
