Quality Assurance Meeting at the Faculty of Science – Gharyan

As part of the Faculty of Science – Gharyan’s commitment to promoting a culture of quality assurance and academic accreditation, and strengthening its efforts toward programmatic accreditation, a quality assurance meeting was held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, in the meeting room at the Dean’s Office.

The meeting was attended by:

  • Dr. Omar Boudina – Dean of the Faculty.
  • Dr. Intisar Abdelati – Vice Dean for Academic Affairs.
  • Dr. Tarik idbeaa – Director of the University Office of Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation.
  • Ms. Sana Al-Jali – Head of the Faculty Quality Assurance Department.
  • Heads of academic departments and directors of administrative offices at the Faculty.

The meeting addressed several important issues, most notably:

First: Review of the observations report prepared by the committee assigned by the National Center for Quality Assurance and Accreditation regarding the Faculty’s institutional accreditation. The results demonstrated a high level of compliance with quality assurance standards and requirements, reflecting the efforts made by the Faculty administration, academic departments, and administrative offices to fulfill the requirements for institutional accreditation.

Second: Establishment of the general framework and implementation steps for preparing for programmatic accreditation. This initiative reflects the Faculty’s commitment to keeping pace with scientific and academic developments and completing the requirements for programmatic accreditation, thereby contributing to the enhancement of the quality of its academic programs and strengthening its academic standing at the local level.

This meeting forms part of a series of meetings, activities, and development initiatives implemented by the Faculty in cooperation with the University Office of Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation. These efforts aim to strengthen institutional performance, promote a culture of quality, support continuous improvement processes, and ultimately achieve the highest standards of quality and academic excellence.
